The GM Housing First and Rough Sleepers Accommodation Programme have made a huge impact in combatting homelessness across Greater Manchester.
And on this day of action, we take a pause to reflect on what has been achieved.
International World Homeless Day serves as a platform to celebrate good works, benchmark progress, advocate for improved policies and funding that can help prevent and end homelessness.
The day also aims to raise awareness about the needs of people who currently experience homelessness and promote work in local communities to alleviate suffering and prevent death.Â
Both GMHF and RSAP have had a significant impact on the people they work with to help facilitate systemic change in Greater Manchester.
The films below highlight some of the great work being carried out by our teams.
The first is a podcast, featuring our Central Team which coordinates both programmes, on the state of play across GMHF and RSAP.
The second is Natalie, who is receiving support from the RSAP team, as she speaks to her key worker Hollie about her life and recovery journey.
And finally, Sophie who has been working with her worker Samantha for the past six months to help her from the streets to create a beautiful home of her own and her son.
We hope you enjoy these films and celebrate with us the fantastic work being done to help people across Greater Manchester.
Together, we are making a difference.
