Emily lands Women in Housing award

GM Housing First Programme Lead Emily Cole was named as Woman of the Year - Social Housing at the Women in Housing Awards in Manchester.

Emily has dedicated her entire career to helping people. The GMHF partnership has supported more than 500 people on to recovery pathways and of that number, more than 360 people have been supported into a safe and secure home to allow frontline staff and third-party services to provide the wraparound support they need.

Emily also leads Great Places' Rough Sleeper Accommodation Programme after winning bids for a second phase after the success of the initial phase in Greater Manchester, as well as being co-chair of the GM Homeless Action Network Learning group and involved in GMHP Homelessness Group.

She said: "Working alongside many amazing women it was an honour to be nominated then shortlisted, and a complete privilege to win. Well done to all the women who were nominated and shortlisted. Everyone is clearly making a huge difference so I am really humbled to have won Women of the Year, so thank you to the judges."
