Following the addition of four new organisations to the GMHF Pilot, we asked them to introduce themselves to discover more about them.
In this edition, the spotlight is on Humankind
Humankind is a national charity with over 1,400 staff and around 100 volunteers providing services for over 76,000 people.
We have specialist services across England which include housing and housing support, drug and alcohol, clinical, children, young people and families, health and well-being, employment, training and education, health and well-being, criminal justice and offender rehabilitation and gender specific services.
Paul Townsley, Humankind CEO, said “We are delighted to be joining the Greater
Manchester Housing First (GMHF) pilot project to help reduce homelessness across the region, particularly during these incredibly hard times and when support is needed more than ever.
“For us to actively pursue our mission, to help the most in need to build healthier lives which have more meaning, multi-agency partnerships are and always have been incredibly important.
"We are excited to be given such a valuable opportunity to work alongside Great Places in delivering Housing First interventions in the Trafford Salford and Wigan areas.
"Learning from this pilot will undoubtedly help to inform and shape best practice in the provision of services going forward.”
